Traveling to exotic locations or even a town not far from your own is made better by choosing the right type of accommodations. Cancun, Mexico is the jewel of the Yucatan peninsula, and as such, is a popular destination for travelers and vacationers wanting their own slice of paradise. That is why it is imperative to investigate the types of lodging in Cancun that can make your next trip more than just another vacation.

With so many types and sorts of accommodations, it is refreshing to know that getting the type and style of lodging in Cancun you need and want is not a difficult task. You can choose to strike out on your own or hire a professional to aid you in your endeavor. There are benefits to both, but you will find that there is one perfect solution just for you and your needs.

There are many types of lodging in Cancun. Take a look at a few options you may find readily available for you and your needs!

All-inclusive resort spas are a great way to kick back and relax in the lap of luxury. Whether looking for 5-star resorts or just wanting the best in pampering, these resorts are designed to be more than a home away from home. Private maids, private butlers, private chefs, and even your own private chauffeur are just waiting to cater to your every desire.

Hotels and motels will range in price as well as amenities and other benefits just as they would in your hometown. Trying to sort who is best by price is not a guaranteed way to insure the quality of your rental. I have found that, personally, I like reading reviews and suggestions online. The internet is a great tool!

Bed and breakfasts are a glorious way to get the home away from home hospitality many people and families appreciate. B&Bs are a wonderful solution and easy to find when you are looking for the best lodging in Cancun. You will discover that there are even hidden B&Bs that offer amenities that will tantalize the senses and imagination.

Private villas are a popular type of lodging in Cancun. These are similar to renting a home or condo for your stay. Whether staying for a weekend or a month, private villas offer activities and amenities that many people prefer. There is nothing like awakening to your private villa where the Caribbean waters are right out your door.

Condominiums are another favorite type of lodging in Cancun. These are clean, spacious, and geared at offering you the best in price and benefits. Condos are a popular choice because they are often less expensive than many other types of rentals. Of course, you will want to insure you get what you are expecting when you save oodles of your hard earned cash.

There is nothing like finding the best lodging in Cancun for your needs. Whether you need something small or something enormously large, you will find that your every wish can be catered to in the fashion you prefer for you and your family or friends.

Cancun, South East Mexico. A tropical place of beauty, history and relaxation. Located on the Yucatan Peninsular in the state of Quintana Roo, Cancun is very different to the rest of Mexico and is split into two main areas - Zona Hotelera (an 18km long island) and Ciudad Cancun (the mainland.) Both of these areas are connected together with a causeway, making access very easy via taxi, bus or even just walking.

Zona Hotelera faces the Carribean on one side and has a lagoon (the Laguna Nichupte) on the other. Most of the people live on the mainland (Ciudad Cancun) which is also where the hotels and resorts are located. This has meant that the Zona Hotelera hotel is quite free from mass commercialization in many respects. Cancun also offers some of the best diving and snorkeling spots in the world, which includes the fifth largest coral reef in the world (The Belize Reef) that has black coral (coral lovers will know that black coral is quite rare.)

There are also plenty of water sports for the person who enjoys a vacation with a bit more action. The selection of excellent resort hotels, classy restaurants, local pubs and bars and a large night-life with clubs makes for a great holiday spot for all kinds of people. Shoppers will enjoy the shopping facilities (five large shopping centers, or street shopping.) For those who want to relax a little more, Cancun’s lagoons, sandbars, mangrove swamps, cenotes (waterholes) and beautiful beaches are what you would be looking for.

But you could probably get a lot of the above (besides the coral reefs etc.) at most other places in the world. One of the things that sets Cancun apart are the Maya sites and ruins nearby. These ruins are fascinating in every respect - full of mystery and history. Coba nearby boasts of the largest pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula, and the ancient sites of Uxmal, Ruta Puuc and Merida are highly recommended. All of the ancient sites are very well kept, and will pique even the interest of those that don’t enjoy history.

Cancun is also a great place for a vacation in the sense that it can cater very well for all kinds of budgets. Although the mainland has many top class hotels, there are also smaller resorts or places where you can stay if you are on a cheaper budget. Transport is easy in and around the city as well, and there are many tourism operations offering you transport to the ancient sites or several islands which lie offshore nearby.

The only drawback to Cancun, as with a lot of popular tourist destinations, is that if you’re the kind of person who wants serious quiet and relaxation, Cancun can be quite busy with its ‘party’ sort of atmosphere. But if you’re looking for a place where there is lots to do, see and enjoy, Cancun will be a very good choice.

Cancun Hotel Reviews

Cancun is a coastal area with white sand beaches and popularly known as the Mayan Gold Coast. Cancun is a Mexican city located in the state of Quintana Roo. Encircled by Caribbean Sea, Isla Mujeras and the Bojorquez lagoons, the city carries the reputation of the famous tourist destination and modern beachfront hotels. Climate in Cancun is warm throughout the year but with some strange and startling facts were you can see the sunshine on one side and rainfall on other side. You can experience showers and rainbow throughout the year.

The city progressed rapidly with many investors taking interest in hotel industry. The hotels in Cancun are the result of the investment of international companies. Nightlife in Cancun is simply marvelous with a number of nightclubs. We still find Cuban and salsa type restaurants and bars, which present the breathtaking dance performances keeping you glued to such places and enliven the energy in you and provoke you to tap your feet with their dance numbers. People throng discos for partying, people enjoying sunbath on the stupendous white sand beaches of the city. There are many water sports that you can enjoy with your entire family on the beaches. You can find water racing attractive or surfing more adventurous or underwater diving with your kids more interesting or paragliding intoxicating. Do whatever, the options of having fun are unlimited here in Cancun.

This city is young, as are most of its permanent and temporary inhabitants. Way back Cancun was just a small sand barrier when the plan began to develop it into the vacation haven of all times. Today, Cancun stands as a medium-sized coastal city and a long, thin island connected to the mainland through bridges at its north and south ends. It is a home to world-class resorts, hotels, clubs, and malls. With the changing nature of this place it offers something for everyone, from an all-day fun party beach to an isolated, tranquil island. Whatever your mood and liking is you find suitable places of solitude here in Cancun.

With around four million visitors every year Cancun has gone through many changes. One of the major change is evident in the 140 hotels which stand tall in this once small city. Hotels are a major business in Cancun and find many big investors and players participating in this venture. The hotels in Cancun are located in the Hotel Zone which is shaped like a backwards 7 with bridges on each end connecting to the mainland. This hotel zone offers a broad range of accommodation facilities, ranging from relatively inexpensive motel-style facilities in the older section closest to the mainland, to high-priced luxury hotels such as the Ritz-Carlton in the popular areas. Many of the hotels are time-share condominiums with kitchen facilities. Some all inclusive hotels where all meals, drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic, hotel activities, entertainment, non motorized water sports, tips and taxes are included in the price of the hotel rooms. With these cheap accommodations you can also find upscale private residences and lavish condominiums for rent that cater to the rich and famous. It is seen that the restaurants, bars and shops in the hotel zone tend to be rather expensive compared with the downtown area and other Mexican resorts. Here travelers will find many recognized theme restaurants and clubs.
